VOLGA-DNEPR INCREASES THE RANGE OF SAP USAGE

Moscow, August 29th, 2011. “Volga-Dnepr” group of companies - the largest cargo air carrier of Russia; SAP Company - a leading world supplier of software solutions for business management and an international consulting company – ALPE consulting, specializing on SAP solutions implementations, have declared the completion of SAP ERP implementation for a structural subdivision of “Volga-Dnepr” company. “Volga-Dnepr” group of companies has successfully represented Russian cargo civil aviation at an international market for more than twenty years already, being the world leader in the segment of super heavy and oversized cargo transportations. The company works on creating a modern multi-center of maintenance and repair, meeting international standards, on the territory of special port economic zone in Ulyanovsk and realizes a range of projects on building of hangars in Sharjah, Leipzig and within the territory of Moscow airfield complex. The group of companies has been using ERP solution from SAP since 90s and due to that a wide range of business processes was optimized and improved. However, some subdivisions of “Volga-Dnepr Technics” have used some other information systems till present. “Volga-Dnepr Technics” in UAE used IS Sage ERP X3 (till spring 2011), which did not allow to perform economic activity in accordance with corporate regulation of “Volga-Dnepr” group of companies. Administration of group of companies made a decision to implement ERP SAP in the mentioned subdivision. ALPE consulting was chosen as an implementation partner. The project was completed in a very short period of time - 4 months. ALPE consulting consultants used ASAP Focus methodology to implement SAP Best Practices Baseline package, which allowed to minimize project risks and to decrease general costs of the customer. The typical solution template was adapted to demands of a regional subdivision and corporate regulations of formation of financial statements by ALPE consulting specialists. Besides, preparation of productive operation in April 2011 made it necessary to input the information on users’ operations for three last months since the beginning of the year into the system. Start of the system into productive operation performed by ALPE consulting specialists took place in the-before-set time. Project results: · “Volga-Dnepr Technics” subdivision in UAE maintains financial records in the system, meeting corporate demands; · Unified principles of data organizing, control of economic operations, assets and inventories; · Integration of performing of users’ operations on inventories and assets with finance accounting; · Control of stock material (at manufacturer’s warehouses) is provided; · Functions of correct calculation and cost value analysis of aircraft repair are acquired; · Data integration into a unified corporate system is provided.
