The attention was focused on a production site in St. Petersburg (Shushary) within MagnaCosma, which was still under construction at that time. A tender was announced which foresawthe implementation of all major business processes from accounting to production. ALPEconsulting, which already had positive experience at Magna Kaluga won the tender and wasconfirmed to be thegeneral contractor. «One of the main challenges of the St. Petersburg project was the deadline pressure, - saysAlexander Schachner, ALPE consulting General Director. – The manufacture was scheduledto deliver the first shipment in May 2010. ALPE team had to work under high timing pressureto meet the deadline. Finally the project was finished in time and presented the record terms ofimplementation - 3 months. On May, 1 we celebrated the Go-Live». ALPE consultants developed schemes for integration with the global corporate system ofMagna data accumulation and analyzing. The project involved the following SAP modules:Controlling (CO), Financial Accounting (FI), Product Planning (PP), Materials Management(MM), Sales and Distribution (SD). The newly implemented ERP system allows the AustrianHead Office to receive consolidated data reporting from St. Petersburg which meets Russianlegal requirements and contributes to manage all business processes from the very Go-Live.Besides that the company got a flexible system of production planning, which is fully integratedwith the information systems of key consumers and suppliers of car components. Right after the completion of the main project, ALPE consulting has also deployed the RussianProfit Tax Accounting solution at Magna Cosma, as this functionality was not in the scope of thefirst phase of the project.Andre Bartczak, General Director at Magna Cosma Int. adds to the success of the project. «As aresult we modified all business processes in a logical scheme united under a single informationplatform.
